Innovate and Inspire: The 2024 Challenge Scholarship Essay Contest
In an effort to foster innovation and social responsibility among students, we are excited to announce the “Innovate and Inspire: The 2024 Challenge Scholarship Essay Contest.” This contest encourages students to critically engage with current societal challenges, either perceived or actual, and articulate their perspectives and solutions in a well-crafted essay. The winning entry will be awarded a $2,500 scholarship to support their educational goals.
Eligibility:
– Open to all high school seniors and college students enrolled in accredited educational institutions.
– Applicants must be in good academic standing with their current educational institution.
Essay Prompt:
Select a significant issue facing society today—this could be a social, environmental, technological, or economic problem. Explain why this issue is important and describe how you are working to understand, learn more about, or resolve this issue.
Your essay should not only highlight the significance of the problem but also your personal engagement with finding solutions.
Essay Guidelines:
– The essay must be between 750 and 1,000 words.
– It should be typed, double-spaced, using a standard 12-point font.
– Essays must be written in English.
– All work must be original and unpublished.
– Proper citations must be used for any sources referenced.
– No A.I to be used (Will be tested)
Judging Criteria:
– Relevance of Topic: How well does the essay address a significant current problem?
– Personal Engagement: Demonstrates the writer’s commitment to resolving or contributing to the discussion on the chosen issue.
– Originality and Creativity: Fresh perspectives and innovative solutions are highly valued.
– Quality of Writing: Organization, grammar, and clarity will be considered.
– Impact Potential: The feasibility and scalability of the proposed solutions.
Submission Process:
– Essays must be submitted via email as a PDF attachment to the email perry@alberta.college.
– The subject line of the email should read “2024 Challenge Scholarship Submission.”
– Include your full name, contact information, and the name of your educational institution in the body of the email.
– All submissions must be received by 11:59 PM on August 19th, 2024.
Prize: - $2,500 Scholarship
